Is Baldur's Gate easy?

So far this game is easy on tactician as someone who has played a respectable amount of tabletop. It's been pretty breezy compared to DoS1 and 2 which I found very difficult on tactician. Easy I imagine will be easier than both DoS games. So you should be ok!

Baldur's Gate 3 isn't a grindy RPG. In fact, your character can only reach level 12, but each new level is a significant leap for your arsenal. Succeeding in a combat encounter is almost never a matter of being underleveled, it's about being underprepared and having no plan.

Once you have enough game knowledge the difficulty will be a bit trivial. They over did it with the combat because they want you to use the environment to kill enemies more than your actual abilities. You want to surprise enemies with stealth mechanics and early positioning. Throw stuff at them to get advantages.
