Are silent black switches good for typing?
I don't have any experience with the non-Cherry switches, but I really like silent blacks. Reds are way too mushy and light for my tastes, but blacks are a nice compromise. I have a Cherry G80-3494 with silent blacks, and it's very pleasant to type on. I prefer the slightly higher weight compared to brown switches.
