What age is Ash Ketchum in the anime?
Ash Ketchum is officially 10 years old throughout most of the Pokémon anime series, starting his journey at that age and remaining the same age for decades, though many fans calculate he would logically be much older (late teens/early twenties) due to the time that has passed in the show's timeline, with writers intentionally keeping him 10 as a narrative device for a kids' show. How old is Ash in the anime?
Ash Ketchum officially remained 10 years old throughout most of the Pokémon anime's run (around 25 seasons), as the show maintained a consistent, childlike protagonist for its target audience, but theories and in-show clues suggest he aged to around 17-18 by the end of his journey, with some fans arguing he was older (15-19) in later arcs, though the show reset this perception with a soft reboot in Black & White, making him 10 again to start fresh. Is Ash Ketchum still 10?
