Nothing happens, you just leave her there and catch up with her later. It's doesn't matter whether you free her or not.Can Shadowheart get her memories back?
She gets her memories restored near the end of her quest, because the way Shar puts it "a sacrifice is pointless if it has no meaning." You can try to convince Shadowheart to save them, but if you go along with Shar's demands, she removes her memories again after they're dead.
