- Talk to the gaurd near the body and initiate the quest.
- Talk to Jorleif.
- Talk to the gaurd.
- (optional) Talk to the witnesses.
- Follow the blood trail to Hjerim.
- (optional) Talk to Tova Shatter-Shield to get the key if you can't pick the lock.
