Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This privacy policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit ORBISPatches.com (https://orbispatches.com), why, and what rights you have. We try to collect as little as possible: ORBISPatches.com has no public user accounts and never asks for your name, e-mail address or other contact details in order to use the site.

1. Who is responsible

ORBISPatches.com is operated by Zoobi B.V., a company based in the Netherlands. Zoobi B.V. is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. See the About page for more information about the site and the contact section for how to reach us.

2. What data we process and why

Technical data (server logs). Like almost every website, our web server records technical information about each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. We use this to keep the site running, secure it and investigate errors or abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cloudflare (hosting network and security). The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which acts as a content delivery network and protects the site against attacks. Your requests, including your IP address, pass through Cloudflare's network. When you open patch details, Cloudflare Turnstile may run a short, usually invisible check to tell humans from automated bots; for this, Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and device, and we send the verification token together with your IP address to Cloudflare to confirm the result. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the site and its data against abuse.

Advertising. ORBISPatches.com is free to use and is funded by advertising. Ads are delivered by our advertising partner Refinery89 using Google Ad Manager and other advertising exchanges and demand partners, and may also be served by Google (Google Ad Manager, Google Ad Exchange and/or Google AdSense). These partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud, and — if you allow it — to show ads based on your interests. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message (a consent management platform working with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) on their first visit. There you can accept or refuse the use of cookies and personal data for advertising purposes, per purpose and per vendor, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the same consent message settings. If you refuse, only non-personalised ads are shown where our partners support this. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised advertising and non-essential cookies.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at any time in Google's Ad Settings, and from many other advertising companies at youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info. For more information see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Cookies and local storage. We set a technical session cookie (PHPSESSID) that is deleted when you close your browser, and a small cookie that remembers that you have dismissed a site notice. Your light/dark theme choice is stored only in your own browser (local storage). Advertising partners set their own cookies as described above. Details are in our cookie policy.

Information you submit. You can submit missing game updates to the archive (a link to a public PlayStation update file). These submissions contain only technical information about games and do not require any personal data. If you register a Discord webhook to receive update notifications, we store the webhook URL and the related Discord server and channel IDs in order to post the notifications; you can stop this at any time by deleting the webhook in Discord.

Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google when the fonts are downloaded.

Gaming FAQ section (/gaming-faq/). This section of the site is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which processes information about your browser and device to tell humans from bots. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Links to other websites. Download links on ORBISPatches.com point directly to Sony's PlayStation servers; we do not host or mirror these files. The site also links to Discord, X (Twitter) and PayPal (donations). When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that service applies. We do not receive any data from these services about you.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling ourselves.

3. Third parties and their privacy policies

Our hosting provider stores the website and its server logs on our behalf. Some of the providers above may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case they rely on the safeguards provided by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as described in their own policies.

4. How long we keep data

Web server logs are rotated daily and deleted automatically after about two weeks, unless we need a specific entry longer to investigate abuse or a security incident. Game update submissions become part of the public archive. Cookies remain on your device for the periods described in the cookie policy or until you delete them; data collected by Cloudflare and advertising partners is kept according to their own retention policies.

5. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting processing that took place before). Because we do not keep accounts, we can often only identify data about you (for example in server logs) if you give us details such as your IP address and the time of your visit.

To exercise your rights, contact us via the channels in the contact section. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or you can contact the authority in the country where you live.

6. Children

ORBISPatches.com is a general-audience website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the services we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy or about your data? Contact Zoobi B.V. by sending a message to @orbispatches on X (Twitter). See the contact section for all contact options.
